Terms and Conditions

Article 1 – Definitions

  1. Entrepreneur: AKRM Online Services, located in Dronten, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 95210415.
  2. Brand Name: Qiicode
  3. Product Name: Qiicode keychain
  4. Website Names: Qiicode.nl, Qiicode.com

  6. Product: The keychain with a unique identification code, as offered on the website.
  7. Agreement: The purchase agreement established between the customer and the entrepreneur when placing an order.

Article 2 – Applicability

  1. These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements, offers, and deliveries from the entrepreneur.
  2. Deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed upon in writing.

Article 3 – Offer and Agreement

  1. The offer on the website is non-binding and may be changed by the entrepreneur.
  2. An agreement is established once the customer places an order and the entrepreneur confirms it in writing or electronically.

Article 4 – Prices and Payment

  1. All prices on the website include VAT and exclude shipping costs, unless stated otherwise.
  2. Payment is made through the payment methods offered on the website.
  3. The entrepreneur reserves the right to suspend delivery until full payment has been received.

Article 5 – Delivery and Execution

  1. The entrepreneur will execute the order with care and ensure the product is shipped within the indicated delivery time.
  2. The entrepreneur is not liable for delays beyond their control.
  3. Delivery takes place at the address provided by the customer.

Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal

  1. The customer has the right to cancel the agreement within 14 days of receiving the product without giving any reason.
  2. To use the right of withdrawal, the customer must contact us via email.
  3. The product must be returned unused and in its original condition. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.

Article 7 – Privacy and Data Protection

  1. The entrepreneur processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
  2. The unique identification code on the keychain and the related communication via the website are fully anonymous.
  3. Both the customer and the website user are responsible for their own privacy. Sharing personal information with others is not necessary and is discouraged.
  4. The entrepreneur is not responsible for the consequences of communication between users (the keychain owner and the finder).
  5. It is optional to link an email address to the customer profile. This allows the customer to receive notifications of incoming messages via email. By providing an email address, the user links personal data to the unique identification code, which could potentially reveal their identity.
  6. It is not possible to change or recover a password. This policy is in place to safeguard user privacy.
  7. Each keychain includes a unique identification code and password that allow the customer to log in to our website. These are protected by a scratch-off layer, making it impossible to know which keychain is sent to which customer. During order processing, a random keychain is selected, preventing the entrepreneur from registering which keychain is linked to which customer. This guarantees that an order cannot be traced to a specific identification code.
  8. Customers can write a "finder's note"—a message displayed to the finder when they attempt to contact the owner via the website. This may include instructions such as "Please drop off at the town hall in ". It is up to the owner how much information to share. The entrepreneur is not liable for any consequences resulting from the content of the finder’s note.
  9. To order a keychain, personal information such as name, address, and contact details are required. These details are used solely for processing and shipping the order and are not linked to the keychain's unique identification code.
  10. For more information, please refer to our privacy policy on the website.

Article 8 – Liability

  1. The entrepreneur is not liable for indirect damage, including loss of keys or unauthorized access to the keychain.
  2. The entrepreneur is not responsible for any damage resulting from communication via the website.
  3. The entrepreneur’s liability is limited to the value of the ordered product.

Article 9 – Complaints Procedure

  1. Complaints about the product or service can be submitted via email.
  2. The entrepreneur aims to handle complaints within 14 days.

Article 10 – Applicable Law

  1. All agreements are governed by Dutch law.
  2. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district where the entrepreneur is established.

Article 11 – Wear and Damage

  1. The Qiicode keychain is made from PVC material and has the key code printed on its surface. Normal wear and tear from use, including but not limited to fading of the code, is the customer’s responsibility. Qiicode is not liable for the code becoming unreadable due to wear, scratches, or other use-related damage.
  2. Any damage, deformation, or breakage of the keychain—regardless of the cause—is entirely at the customer's risk. Qiicode offers no warranty for damage resulting from normal use, misuse, external factors, or accidents.
  3. Customers are advised to handle the Qiicode keychain with care and take measures to preserve the readability of the key code.

Article 12 – Service Availability

  1. Qiicode aims to keep the website and associated services available for at least one year from the time of keychain purchase.
  2. However, Qiicode reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the service in case of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure, legal restrictions, technical issues, or business closure.
  3. In case of a planned termination of the service, Qiicode will, if reasonably possible, inform users in advance via the website or other communication channels.
  4. Qiicode is not liable for any damages or costs arising from changes, suspension, or termination of the service.
  5. Qiicode does not guarantee that lost keys will be recovered. Our service facilitates anonymous communication between finder and owner, but success depends on third parties.
  6. Users are responsible for securely storing their unique code and password. Qiicode cannot be held liable for loss or misuse of these details.
  7. We are not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, or loss of profit.
